I decided to start a blog during my journey through the highs and lows of motherhood, marriage, and health.
As a stay-at-home-mom, I really struggled the first year with my new baby. Having been a high school teacher for six years before having my baby, the isolation of new motherhood proved a fierce opponent. The new financial challenges of living on one income became, perhaps predictably, an even fiercer one.
But the changes I made for my health became much more than a balm for those obstacles. What I found was the real me that had been hidden behind the toxins I had previously been putting in my body.
When I started a Ketogenic lifestyle, I found a way to remove layers of anxiety, depression, and self-doubt that had before dulled me. What I didn’t expect was finding happiness in this healthful approach that at first seemed so daunting and limiting but that ultimately turned out to be both rather easy to continue and freeing.
